Description

The lido Schmöckwitz is a small and cozy bathing place in the district Schmöckwitz, the Berlin district Treptow-Köpenick. The lido is located directly on the Zeuthener See , a widened arm of the Dahme (river). Due to its compact size and relative remoteness from the city's hotspots, the bath is not so crowded and full. For friends of the sandy beach, the bath is definitely a recommendation! It has a fairly large sandy area starting from the shore and further back, lush sunbathing lawns next to shady trees. And best of all, it's free.

The bath is also well suited for children. On the one hand, the shallow and sandy ground of the beach bath is well suited to slowly enter the water and on the other hand, the adjacent playground offers room for variety. And last but not least, the restaurant "Oase" offers chips and coke for refreshment.
The water rescue service on the premises also ensures bathing safety.

How to get to the lido

With public transport you can reach the lido relatively well. Simply take the S-Bahn to Berlin-Grünau and then Tram 68 to Alt-Schmöckwitz. There the train stops not far from the bathing area. Quickly cross the nearby bridge and the lido is already on the right side.
For motorists, the lido offers many parking spaces.
Directly adjacent to Schmöckwitz and located in the middle of the lake, by the way, is the state border between Berlin and Brandenburg.

Schmöckwitz Restaurant

If you swim a lot and lie in the sun you will get hungry and thirsty! Bathing can be hard! Ideally, there is a restaurant on the waterfront directly at the Schmöckwitz swimming area. In the restaurant "Oase", which has existed since GDR times, you can always treat yourself to a cool beer or the much longed for fries.

Boat rental Schmöckwitz

There are a number of boat rentals in Schmöckwitz in the immediate vicinity of the lido. It doesn't always have to be a swimming trip. Especially when the temperatures are not yet so hot it is a wonderful way to enjoy the afternoon. Examples are the boat house Krampenblick and the Rietz boat house. Both are located near the streetcar station.


Schmöckwitz Lake

The lake in Schmöckwitz is the so-called Zeuthener See. Strictly speaking, it is an arm of the river Dahme. The water quality is according to the last EU classification of excellent.

    Der kleine Strand ist super schön, sauber und leicht erreichbar kann man nur empfehlen Denn noch gibt es etwas was mich gestern (18.6.2022) sehr erschrocken hat... Ein älterer Bademeister ist so unfreundlich und unhöflich man glaubt es kaum, beleidigt kleine Mädchen als fot... Und ähnliches, brüllt Eltern teile an während ihre Kinder mit dabei sind also sowas habe ich noch nicht erlebt der Herr sollte sich überlegen ob das denn der richtige Job für ihn ist..
